For the first time ever (although I've watched the car chase many times) I watched Bullitt. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it immensely!

I just watched a couple of '80s favourites on Blu-ray - The Monster Squad and Lucio Fulci's City of the Living Dead.  Never thought they could look this good!  :D

I feel like I need a new TV series to get addicted to, any suggestions? I've seen all seasons of the following and my life now feels empty!

-24
-Prison Break
-The Shield
-House
-Breaking Bad
-Dexter

I have S1 of The Wire but I don't know if I'm ready for it  I've heard Weeds is good.

Have you seen any of the Life On Mars or Ashes to Ashes stuff?

I bought it on a whim when it was on sale and REALLY got into it!

Nope I haven't but I might give em a go. Not really much a fan of the British dramas though for some reason, I think I like how much more "filmic" the US ones are!

The Wrong Box: Traditional British farce with a stellar cast (Michael Caine, Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Peter Sellers,  Tony Hanc--k, etc.). Some funny bits but less than the sum of its parts. One for fan of cult movies.

Crazy Heart: Excellent film with an amazing performance from Jeff Bridges. The story is none too original. Washed up, alcoholic country single trying to get back on his feet but (much like The Wrestler) pulls off the trick to produce a great film.

and Mad Men

I'm also enjoying Sons of Anarchy and True Blood.

Tom - get on with watching The Wire. Seriously, I think you'll like it. Get past the first couple of episodes and you'll be hooked.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I just watched Where The Wild Things Are - not what I expected (although I'm not sure what I was expecting) but rather wonderful.

Yesterday I saw a preview screening of a horror called The Final which is coming out in August.  Utter bollocks.

Watched Moon tonight. Very strange and depressing. Not sure if I liked it.

I started watching that a few weeks ago but had to shoot out. Not finished it yet - maybe I'll give it another go.

I liked Moon.  I found it very sad, but not depressing - and the ending is uplifting, in a very small way.

i liked it too. but did anyone happen to watch the preview for it on sky anytime - the bit where they start playing a sort clip of the film?   the buggers decided to pick a clip that gave away the whole plot.  not that its hard to figure out, but still - not on!
