I heard it was good, but I saw it was 12 episodes.... I have real trouble sticking with TV shows for entire series.

Yeah, but it's 12 weeks, all in a row, having to remember when it's on....  :x  :?

And don't mention recording it, or "series links" - I don't have Sky+ (or anything similar).  And if there's one thing that tries my patience more than attempting to follow a whole series week by week, it's watching a number of episodes one after the other - drives me crazy!

I'll stick to films.

ah right

yeah sky+ definitely helps with watching series. I've started watching a bunch of things i never got round to watching when we didn't have it (only got it fairly recently).

Limitless - I didn't think Bradley Cooper could carry a film on his own, but he does a pretty good job.  Not bad at all, although it seemed like they didn't really know how to end it.

I watched it at the weekend, it was watch-able enough but didn't seem to have a point. Also, became increasingly annoying that he didn't use his super intelligence to solve his problems and formulate contingencies (which kinda made the ending hollow), he just tried to buy solutions to his problems.

Yes, I'm also enjoying Homeland... though I do wonder how long they can run with the is-he-isn't-he storyline, more than one season?

One season. They have a relatively-believable way of setting up season 2, though. I quite enjoyed it. Gets a bit 24 towards the very end (though Dane's acting improves vastly) but fortunately without all the jingoist propaganda.

Impressed they managed to have complex and sympathetic terrorist characters (who you, or at least I, quite want to succeed by the end) in a mainstream American show, must have taken some boardroom debate.

no spoilers, please (i realise you haven't, and thanks, but just for anyone else :) )

EDIT: i like danes' acting

I'm a bit concerned by lewis' accent. same thing happened in life (which was also really good). It's pretty good like 75% of the time, but then occasionally his voice does this weird going-up-in-pitch thing where i'm not sure what's going on, and where he nearly sounds like a different character.

Started watching that TV series Alcatraz. So disappointing! The trailers made it look good but it's just a typical cop show with a cr@p female lead and cheesy dialogue. Rubbish.

Oh, is Claire Danes in it?

I like her a lot.  She looks like a normal human being, not a surgically-enhanced, production-line freak like most young American actresses nowadays.  And I like her acting, too.

I think she's alright for the most part. But she really gets much better as the season goes on. I think she's a bit two dimensional for the first 6 or 7 episodes.

Well, I have to say that 'The Shawshank Redemption' has a very special place in my heart. And it's a good film too :)

You'll know what I think of as the change when it comes. The writers fleshing her out and giving her more to work with is maybe more of it than her changing particularly.
