& FWIW I made a fish pie, loosely following Jamie Oliver's recipe in his Ministry of Food book.

Just had a Beef Wellington from one of my favorite pubs.  All washed down with a couple of pints.  Lovely.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Beef wellington rules.

I think I'll cook some random stuff with chicken and bacon and have it on jacket potato

Change of plans - one of my random one pan meals. Potatoes, bacon, chicken, mixed veg, a bag of mixed dried spices, tomato purree, sausages, water and heat.

This is the best wellington ever.  Weighs about 3kg.  Big fat bit of steak, loads of onions and about an inch thick bit of pate.

Annoying as he is to watch, his recipe books do have some great stuff in them.

Anyway, tonight I had pork and leek sausages on a bed of beetroot and lamb's lettuce rissotto (which was left over from last night).
