to install one, you have to take EVERYTHING in the back of your floyd to bits, then you have to get absolutely everything perfectly lined up afterwards when you put them back on. plus, the idea of removing the screws holding the springs doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
I installed one myself on my Strat, the basics are the same and trust me it's easy.
I'm not a guitar tinkerer - I don't solder my own pickups or anything - but trust me it is SO easy as long as you follow the video instructions which couldn't be any clearer if they tried.
Honestly man, it's a brilliant product that's as simple to install as it is practical to use.
Ibanez RGT42DXFM. I think the T stands for neck thru, the DX for deluxe, and the FM for Flamed Maple.
Outstanding!! A flamed maple top and a neck-thru construction for a shade over £400?! BLimey, that's cheeeeap!
Cheers - I've been playing it since I woke up - Mastered the Dime squeal :D
I LOVE doing them, so easy and yet so effective... drop the bar, flick, harmonic and raise it. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHRGHRGHR!!
