How high are the ceilings? Too high to change the light bulbs over the dining table without borrowing a bloody big ladder!

Actually we managed it once with my Mrs standing on a stool balanced atop two Peavey PA cabs, but alas I had to give the PA back to my buddyand we ate in semi darkness for about six months as the bulbs blew one after another :D

As for shelves, well as we have 18 month old twins rampaging around the place, chance would be a fine thing and the higher the better. However we can't as it's a rented apartment. I had to get a clause put in thelease to allow me to hang the guitars up. I'll use polyfiller (or toothpaste  ) to fill the holes when we move out...

Sorry, but I just have to ask a 38th Beatle-style interior design question:

How high are your ceilings?!  :o

Do you keep a ladder in that room?  Just look at all that lovely wallspace waiting to be filled with shelves!

that guitar wall is awesome though.

I didn't look too close and thought that ESP was an old Hamer Scarab (Not sure on the model).

I've got a few 80's era shredders hiding in corners:

A couple of Japanese Charvels. I found the Model 5A NOS in a store in Bangkok in 2002. They'd lost the case though. The Model 3B was in a store here in Kuala Lumpur a couple of years ago, again NOS. That one came with the original case. Haven't had the balls to play them out live yet though. Maybe when I was 30, skinny & in a metal band. Now I'm 47 and playing blues & classic rock with a bunch of other fat old farts? I think not :D

I've still got my beat-up Model 3 from my hair-farmer days as well. I never sell anything, which is probably why I have 38 guitars and an urgent need to thin the herd before we relocate back to Hong Kong next year.

I missed the Tele wall out of my original post:

My wife has been away on a business trip and so I have had the house to myself.  Ben (TO) came around on Friday and we had a few guitars out to play.

In the picture of the guitars on the sofa, they are:

Floor Left to Right
Zemaitis Metal Front Clone - Emerald/Mule
59 Esquire - Brown Sugar/old Epiphone pickup fixed by Tim
57 Tele - Flatpole Black Guard set
Zemaitis Pearltop Clone - awaiting BK's!
Raven West PRS Hollowbody Clone - AII Mules
Ibanez with Warmoth Bloodwood/Ebony neck - Nailbomb/Irish Tour/Cold Sweat

Sofa Left to Right
Warmoth Tele - Goncalo Alves/Kingwood neck, Piledriver/Slowhand
Original 54 Goldtop
86 Darkback Goldtop - PG Blues set
57 Strat - Aged Apache set
71 John Birch J1
Warmoth late 60's strat clone - Wenge/Bloodwood neck - waiting  for BK's
So many pickups, so little time

No  - its on the back and I described it - 71 John Birch J1

You just wanted to mention it again because you like it so much    I'm adding another pic where you can see it better

I didn't mention the pedals - they are a Klon Centaur, HBE Twighlight Drive and HBE Power Screamer

And one picture of the amps, tuners, soldering iron and other assorted mess involved in putting together 2 guitars.

The amps are a McIntyre Bluesmaker 20w with an Avatar 2X12 (Eminience Tonespotters), MiniMat with 1x12 G12M cab and Marshall Silver Jubilee 50 with Ear Candy extension cab and Celestion Sidewinders in both.
So many pickups, so little time

i like the borders around the inlays on the Birch - nice touch!

also like the red tolex on the matamp - but thats because i have just spent the afternoon re-tolexing a cab with red levant . . .  and i think i am kinda high on the adhesive fumes!!!

True. I will need to borrow that guitar and play it thru the Splawn.

That's more like it.

You also didn't mention that the Twilight Drive blows away the Klon. The Klon sounds so 'diode'ish and inorganic compared to the Twilight Drive. When you use the OD and boost at the same time on the Twilight Drive you get the same level as drive as the Klon, but it's warm and tuneful, not shrill and edgy like the Klon. This may be due to the active buffer in the Twilight Drive? Dunno. But the bottom line is the Klon got pwned!!!

Klon reputation .... NOT DESERVED!!!

And the Jubilee sounded MINT being pushed by Yoshi's single Cold Sweat with no OD. Stinging vintage tone very reminiscent of classic NWOBHM legends Angel Witch!!! \m/

It truly is a beautiful axe, and pure metal, to boot.
