That sounds amazing, wonder what pickups he uses?

thats not the tele... thats the 5400$ USD amp. Thats right, over 5 grand. Thats not even list price either.

Back on topic.

Lol Phil, you're not going to win me round - although you're right, there are some seriously pink guitars on that website!!

And sorry Dakine, I think it's the body shape - nothing you can do to make them look properly metal in my eyes. At least it's got humbuckers, I suppose. I think what I dislike is the non cutaway part of the body at the top of the neck, that and the headstock...

Oh well, back on track - carry on!

Man teles are awesome. My Country Boy (nicknamed Jolene) MIM is nice an fat, with very little twang. Neck pickup oozes creamy round tone, and the bridge is still chunky. All while being low-output. Sexy.

In reality I have a love hate relationship with the sound of the tele, theres so many 'inde bands' with horrible tele tones (but then the same holds true of strats LPs and most other guitars).

But then I listen to Roy Buchannan, Dave Gilmour or a few others and hear a great raw sound and I fall back in love again

Back on topic again ;

If she is looking for a PRS I would suggest looking at an Eggle Berlin or Vienna as theyre absolute steals & every bit as good. They also look similar to a PRS (with fancy finishes) but to me are a nicer size.

TMC in Coventry have a load of models that are very heavily discounted and includes some top of the range models

On the budget in question, the journey would be worthwhile (or even to London to try a wider range of kit)
Goodbye London !

I say you steal the money from her and get her a psychologist; then, after a year of therapy maybe she will make good decisions about 'da gear.

Tell me this rig doesn't look total sex.  There's nothing twangy about this baby, it's a mean mutha!!!

Sorry, that scratch plate just killed the rig... dead.  O, and by the way, i generally think that, to quote Roo, teles look "Ghey."

However, Dakine, that guitar IS TEH SEX!

This tele is far from wimpy

It features a BKP Boss and a BKP Mule at the neck, and it rocks!

The BKP Boss is a real surprise - yes it will sound like a tele but crank up the amp and it can do classic rock and metal too. And a BKP mule at the neck - nuff said!

And this is a guitar I will do a sale price on leaving £800 to buy the Spider valve or whatever!

i would actually support the decision to buy one of Jonathan's guitars, ESPECIALLY that one.  That is gorgeous!  Nice choice with the headstock shape too  :)

I have told her about your offer... She said she loved the look of it. You should get an email about it fairly soon.

Looks like we have a winner!

I can understand why people don't like the Tele shape, it's very irregular and the top wing looks almost unfinished to me... like there's another chunk to be cut out... but wimpy? Hell no.

Also, didn't that Tabby used to have a Riff-Raff?

+1, I was put off geting one for ages because of the "indie band" image they seem to have become associated with, but then I just listen to Led Zep I and realise that they do more than that cr@p thin jangly indie tone :P Now I just want a Baja tele, they look so good and most of the clips I've heard of it sound really good to me.

I like the look of that feline, though would prefer a more traditional headstock, thats just me being picky though I think.

I'd kinda like to see what a Tele-shape would look like with a PRS-esque headstock, I bloody love them... kinda like this other Feline. ;)
